Global Narrative Editor

Navigator > Maintain > Company > Global Narrative List > Select Narrative

Use the Global Narrative Editor to edit sections of text. You can enter text in another program, such as MS Word, then copy and paste into Narrative Editor. Text will word wrap making it easier to enter descriptions on:

Code

Unique code to identify the Global Narrative.

Description

Write a brief description to assist in selecting the correct code.

Content Type

Sets how the narrative is stored and edited: Text, Markdown or HTML.

See Text Editor, Markdown Editor and HTML Editor.

The default Content Type for narratives is set in Company Settings, and is Text. The Content Type can be changed here only when Company Settings allows it.

Toolbar

ToolbarExpand

Expand Toolbar (Alt+F9)

Expand the toolbar to give access to all toolbar options. Press Esc to close the expanded toolbar.

Edit (F11)

Edit an existing narrative.

Delete (F3)

Delete a narrative.

Print (Ctrl+P)

Print the narrative record.

Previous (Ctrl+Up)

Next (Ctrl+Down)

View the previous or next narrative on the list in the Global Narratives grid.

SpellCheck

Spell Check (F7)

Activates Accredo spell check. Spelling is also checked as you type, right-click words for suggested corrections. Spell check options and dictionaries are set in Company Settings - Spellcheck tab.

Buttons

Save (F9)

Saves the global narrative and closes the Global Narrative Editor.

Cancel (Esc)

Closes the Global Narrative Editor without saving changes to the Global Narrative.
